Novelist of Life

In my adolescence I became intensely aware of the overarching drama that defined my life. At times it seemed I could control and direct this unraveling narrative; at other times, I felt trapped in its outcomes.
I examine scenes, portraits, glimpses, encounters, “spots of memory” (Wordsworth); and trace the channels of meaning between them. The overarching drama rises to the surface of these ficciones and patterns appear out of nowhere.
